Sedbergh win 161-95

A good humoured match with an honourable feel about the encounters. The score line didn’t quite represent the intensity of some of the rallies where George Ward in particular as first seed enjoyed the run around provided by the opposition.

Dominance on court, through sheer pace and power by James Griffin with excellent coverage giving his opponent no chance to reply.

Yann Zoni’s relaxed play became a game of mental strength as he was taken down in the second game by an arguably more focussed opposition who was slightly less than forgiving for the, at times, unplaced confidence. The most exciting games, with some truly outstanding points were played by Harry Page who gave everything and although late on the set off reached the ball whether in the corners, drops, volleys and sides; tight-quarters were on display at all times! Alex Morgan commanded a slightly slower pace on the court compensated for by some bullet-like shots.
