Match Report
Sedbergh School 1st  vs  Limehouse School
On: Wednesday, 18 Sep 2019
Venue: Away

The Wolves narrowly lost in what was a pulsating game. Sedbergh raced to a 10 point lead in the first quarter, with some outstanding shooting from Jin Nishikawa. This lead was maintained through the second and third quarters and the Wolves were cruising. There were some consistently strong performances from Ikemdi Ajaero and Kevin Gao. As well as this, Finn Baker was a colossus under the basket and the rebound king, always keeping his composure, despite the opposition literally wrestling with him on the floor at one point. A special mention must also go to Angus Woods who, in his first game for the school, scored not one but two 3 point shots with two attempts. The game looked to be comfortable but in the 4th quarter Limehouse found their scoring touch and began to sink unanswered basket after unanswered basket. At this point Sedbergh shrank slightly and began to resemble sheep in wolves clothing. The game was tied with 30 seconds to go and unfortunately Limehouse sunk the winning score. The Wolves learned a valuable lesson; that when the pressure is on, we must step up and make those crucial game winning shots. Despite the loss, the team played well and most importantly remained positive throughout and always supported and encouraged each other. We are already looking forward to the rematch in a few weeks.
